About Laine
Originally from the State of New Jersey in the United States, she has been singing and dancing since she was three years old. In her first onstage performance at the age of six, it was clear that she had a gift for performing and the arts. She is an all-around musician (piano, guitar, and voice), dancer, gymnast and actor.
After entering the world of auditions/show business at a young age and starring in leading roles in numerous musicals and a commercial, Laine has now focused her professional music career on her first love….songwriting and performing.
At the age of 11 she wrote and recorded her first single “Let’s Take It High" and released her namesake debut album “Laine” at the age of 12.
While living abroad in Switzerland, Laine released her second album, “For You,” in 2016, which features her upbeat dance song “Why You Gotta Be Like That” and the inspirational ballad “Take Me Home.” The tender song “Slip Away,” which was written for one of Laine’s friends who moved away, showcases her deep passion for her friends and relationships, which she highly values not just in song, but in real life.
Laine also released her first Christmas song “It Don’t Feel Like Christmas” earlier the same year. This song will have you smiling from ear to ear as you rekindle those special memories of family, fun and friends during the holidays.
Laine released an "Unplugged" album in 2017, featuring some of her favorite cover songs ranging from a few classics to current pop. And, in November 2017, Laine released another original album “Disguise".
Her single, “Devil to Your Angel,” was released in 2020 and is an anthem for the “ride of your life” and finding your inner strength, leaving judgement behind, and becoming the person you were meant to be.
And now in 2024, Laine has released two brand-new singles! “California Boy” is a heartfelt, alternative and upbeat summer song that compares authentic love to the beauty of the Golden State. “Why I Moved Down South” represents her story about breaking loose from the past towards a thriving new journey in the Southwest.
She has made numerous music videos and collectively has over 350,000 views on YouTube.
Laine is both thankful and grateful for the support of her family and the tremendous coaches and collaborative partners she works with throughout every aspect of her career, including Stephanie Salzman, Tim Welch, Matt Anthony, Stefan Haselhoff, Andy Spittler, Willem Oosthuysen, Janine Molinari, Trapper Felides, Thommie Retter and Amy Ward-Wurst.
Laine is currently pursuing degrees in Astrophysics and Journalism at the University of Arizona, but she continues to write and record new music in her spare time…so stay tuned and check back regularly!
